Where can I dispose of used vegetable oil?

I cooked french fries in vegetable oil on the stove. Now I have a potfull of used vegetable oil.Where can I dispose of used vegetable oil?
Since cooking oil is bio degradable you can pour it down the sink. Flush it with hot water.Where can I dispose of used vegetable oil?
I either pour it in a coffee can, or let it congeal in the fridge and scrape it into the trash.
Don't pour it out in your yard unless you want all sorts of critters checking it out!

Use the coffee can suggestion.
I pour it on unwanted weeds in my yard
i save coffee cans for this, pour it in when cooled, when full throw it out. For animal fat, put it in the can

put the fat in the fridge till it hardens then toss it out
you can use any of the suggestions above, but before you pour it down the drain, find out if your house is on city sewer or septic tank. oil in a septic will stop the benifical bacterial action of the system. If you add a little dish soap to the oil, it will break it down so it does not cause plumbing problems in the city sewer
pour it in ur yard!
put it in an old container that has a lid add some cereal or crumbled bread, freeze it , put in your yard for birds .
Do you have any bio-diesel plants in your area? That would be a good place to do it.
There are companies that provides most restaurants with a pick up service for used oil and grease (it is used to make soap and make-up). You can make arrangement with your neighbourhood restaurant to dispose of your pot full of used vegetable oil.
what you got a quart

In the sink

A full gallon and you desperately must recycle ask at the fast foods and restaurants

Just run the hot hater and down the sink

';IT'; goes to the sewer plant not the storm drain.
