What is the difference between olive oil and vegetable oil?

Is it bad if you use olive oil in baking? What is the difference between olive oil and vegetable oil?
The difference is in taste and viscosity.

It isn't bad to use it in baking, but it will change the flavor of the food. I use it as a marinate on baked chicken, so it isn't all bad. What is the difference between olive oil and vegetable oil?
Olive oil has a much more obvious flavor than vegetable oil. You can tell just by looking at the two. I prefer to use olive oil for flavor when I make bruschetta or on a salad with vinaigrette. I really don't use it for frying or baking, especially sweets. I don't know if you meant baking chicken, fish, or a dessert. Vegetable oil has a cleaner flavor that doesn't compete with your other ingredients.

What is the difference between olive oil and vegetable oil?

Besides where they come from the difference is the smoke point, the temperature at which the oil smokes and becomes unless, and the taste.

Vegetable oil has a higher smoke point than olive oil. Olive Oil should never be use for saut茅ing or frying. Vegetable Oil or Canola Oil is perfect for these high heat cooking techniques.

Is it bad if you use olive oil in baking?

No, Olive Oil is perfect for baking and roasting. I use it all the time when I am roasting meats, veg, and fish. I even use it in place egg wash for some bread recipes. Tossing the food in Olive Oil will allow the product to attract more heat, in turn getting a better brown faster
Apart from about 拢1-50? (Haha.) Olive oil is suppose to be much better for you. It's higher in monounsaturated fatty acids and antioxidants and is thought to cut your risk of getting heart disease (it lowers cholesterol) and colonic cancer.

So no, cooking with it will do more good than bad.

Extra virgin olive oil is the one you're suppose to look out for.
This one is certainly not going to get the best answer,

but lot of dudes I know buy Olive oil instead of Vegetable oil, just because they think its cool and better, in truth Vegetable oil is less in Cholesterol ( atleast from where I read. won't quote it. )
my mom stopped buying vegetable oil and started buing olive oil because it healthier. i love baking and use the olive oil in my baking all the time. in my opinion it dosent make a difference
Well obviously it depends on what dish you are baking. But olive oil has a distinct flavor. I wouldn't use it in the place of a recipe calling for vegetable oil.
The difference is that veg oil has trans fat. The olive oil is healthier for you, but if you don't like the flavor try using canola oil for things you are baking!
olive oil has a lower smoke Temperature
It's not bad, but it would be a waste of an expensive oil.
