How do I rub off vegetable oil?

I was cookinng hamburgers in a pan and i got a bunch of oil on the stove, and somehow it evaporated and its all over the microwave (which is above the stove) and the cupboard above that. Ive tried scrubbing it with all sorts of products and the damn vegetable oil wont come off it just smears. help.How do I rub off vegetable oil?

White spirit or paint thinners will work very well.
Heat up some white vinegar (not boiling) cause that will go though pretty much anything without harming the surface. DOn't use spirits though cause they could ruin the gloss finish.
Mr Clean magic eraser will do it.
