im making zucchini bread, and dont need to take a trip to the store unless the canola oil will really screw up the taste or texture or whatever of the bread. will it?A recipe asks for vegetable oil, can i use canola oil as a substitute?
Yes, doesn't matter with type.A recipe asks for vegetable oil, can i use canola oil as a substitute?
Both oils are terrible for you. Use sesame or coconut oil. Many reports show Canola oil is not safe for human consumption. Report Abuse
make the trip. it is worth it. canola oil will give it a denser consistancy when done. e-mail me if i am wrong. please
Yes you can, I use canola all the time when I make my bread, the culinary student is wrong:~)
Notice even though she is wrong I did not give her a thumbs down.
Yes, you just need a neutral tasting oil.
Good choice for a substitute....

Yes and better for you.
the only oil that would probably change the taste would be olive oil. canola oil has little or no taste.
Yes. It is perfectly okay to use the canola oil. I've even been using olive oil in some recipes. Usually just part olive and part canola oil. Baked goods come out great!
how about olive oil..do you have olive oil it's better than canola oil..but of course if you don't have that yes you can use canola oil.
