Is there a substitute for vegetable oil?

I'm making brownies and the box calls for vegetable oil and i'm all out is there an alternative? Is there a substitute for vegetable oil?
lardIs there a substitute for vegetable oil?
corn or olivie oil . Margerine is really bad for you cause its very saturated fat , even butter is heathier.
Any oil will substitute for veg oil except maybe olive oil.
applesauce will work also melted butter or margarine, canola oil works well. Olive oil is to heavy in taste and will not do well.
melted shortening or melted butter
if you were making brownies i think you can use olive cause im pretty sure butter wouldn't taste good in it and it would make them soggy
Canola oil should work fine
u could melt some butter or margarine or use sunflower or groundnut oil
I just tried it with olive oil and it tastes awful!!
Shortening will work. You may want to melt it first to make mixing easier.
I always use canola oil, you won't be able to tell the difference %26amp; it's better for you!
i use olive oil like said before..and as said before butter is also good.
apple sauce works great and tastes just as good you cant even tast the apple and it makes it more moist
you could try margarine as that is a vegtable oil.
I have used applesauce. It substitutes well in baking, particularly in muffins, quick loaves, cakes etc. You will be amazed, and it makes a moister product.
butter
i never use vegetable oil i prefer extra virgin olive oil its far better for you
Use equal amount of butter or margarine, melt off in micro-wave, let cool before adding to the recipe. If you use margarine, check the package to see what % of water is in it...then reduce your water addition by 1-2 T. Also I do not use water in the recipe, but left over coffee and 2 T Kahlua. YUMM I sub the oil for butter all the time...cause I, like Paul Deen, think butter is the fourth food group! LOL

OOPS, I forgot that you can use = amount of mayonnaise...not ';salad dressing';.
Any oil will do but you'd best melt margarine or butter to equal the oil and use that for your substitute.
