How do I convert my truck to run on vegetable oil?

I'm looking into buying a diesel truck just for the purpose of converting it and running on vegetable oil. Has anyone bought the parts and done it themselves? How difficult is it? Can someone direct me to a blog or website about converting on your own. I've been to all the major sites that sell the kits, too expensive and not much help answering questions.
